HPS FAQ's
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept bank transfer, cheque and cash.
Q: When will my software be delivered?
A: The software package will be delivered within 10 working days from purchase. However the registration code is available immediately upon purchase via email, phone or fax. There is no need to receive the CD package and we suggest that you choose to not receive the package and instead let us donate $10 on your behalf to Planet Ark.
The $10 is under the actual cost of packing and delivery, and this does not come off your purchase price if you choose not to receive the packing, it instead goes as a donation from us on your behalf to a chosen charity. We feel for this cause of saving excess waste Planet Ark is the best choice.
Q: How do I become a collaborator in the improvement of HPS?
A: Firstly purchase the software, customers can login to our members area were we have forums for enhancements and bugs. Inside the member area there is a form to become involved with collaboration, and from there one of our team can discuss with you what is involved and what benefits we provide to our collaborators.
Q: How does the version Licence for HPS work, and what does the Free upgrade from version 1.0? include?
A: The version Licence, by paying $395 AU lets you own the software and it will always work.
The Free upgrade from version 1.0? is because being the first release we thought we should reward those early adaptors of HPS, who will help shape the direction. We will continue to work for our existing customers by providing discounts and new features to entice purchase of new versions.
We will be continuing development of HPS to our user defined needs, patches and version enhancements will be available for free online up-till 1 year after purchase. After that time updates and support will be available for purchase (Any critical bugs, or security fixes will always be provided online for free download).
Q: How is the free trial version different from purchased version?
A: It isn't, the trial version has the complete functionality of HPS minus printing, and is only locked on the number of days data that can be entered.
Q: I really like the HPS program and the benefits it has been providing my business, but I also need something to handle the large number of weddings functions my business has along with my regular shifts. I was wondering if you do custom modifications on the software and what the charge and time frame would be on such a feature?
A: Yes, customizations are available on a case by case basis, our technology partner Capsicum Corporation can be contacted and will be happy to provide a quote.
Feature requests and product enhancements can also be sent through to support. And all will be addressed during design iterations. These will eventually be the foundations of a community site to drive the direction for ongoing development of the HPS program.
Q: I bought your software after testing it briefly, and am now unhappy with it's performance from a number of bugs. Can I get a refund?
A: Yes. We will provide a full refund of HPS if the product fails at delivering what's promised. To continue to better HPS we simply require the customer satisfactorily complete a bug and complaint report.
Q: What is HPS?
A: HPS captures and analyses the critical operating data gathered through daily trade and provides the tool to compare periods of trade, along with industry benchmarking and best practice.
Q: Who would use HPS?
A: HPS has been developed for the food service industry i.e. Restaurants and Caf?s, Hotels incorporating food service area, Clubs, Fast Food and Take Away Outlets. HPS: Restaurant V1.0 has been designed specifically for restaurants and cafes with less than 20 employees.
Q: Can you turn the help box into something that shows more useful information, after the first week of using the program I have not looked at that help box again. Maybe let it show a chart of some sort, giving me more useful information.
A: That's a great idea, you should join our forums and collaborate with us on the direction HPS should go. Yes for the next version we will make the help box do more than just offer content sensitive hints.
Q: I've purchased my registration but it says my trial period has expired?
A: Go to Register from the tool bar, if the padlock shows as locked, the registration process has not been completed. When purchasing you would have quoted your activation code and received a registration code. That registration code needs to be entered into the field provided and press register when entered. There will be an error dialogue if the code is incorrect, and a congratulations message and the padlock will now show as unlocked from now on. If you have purchased then lost your registration code, it will be in your email if an address was provided or alternatively you can contact us again quoting the activation code and we will reissue your registration code.
